I'm curious if anyone else has this and if they know the cause, and how to fix it?

Not enough info here to really advise you about
anything. There are some common culprits that can cause diarrhea, like lactose intolerance. There are gallbladder problems that can cause diarrhea. Perhaps all you need to do is eat more bananas? Need more info.

Thank you for your replies. I have had my gall bladder removed in 97, have acid reflux, which came about
after the removal of the gall bladder. Been diagnosed with Gastritis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, and now a new one, peripheral neuropathy. I haven't tried any remedies, since i've always had it, its just a part of my life, but now as i'm getting older, i'm starting to get really bad stomache pains, and when i need to go, I need to go. So I'm getting ready to start taking some kind of remedy, but don't know what to take, cause I don't want to get constipated. Question? what is Lorazepam and is it over the counter or by prescript
ion?

Mom,
Lorazepam is also known by the brandname Ativan. It is an prescript
ion drug in a class called Benzodiazepines which act on the brain & the central nervous system. These drugs have a calming/traquilizing effect.
IMHO, not the best drug to choose for a chronic condition, and even if you got a script
for it, it would be as an "off label" use, ie: not intended for/or tested thoroughly for the condition of IBS. Docs are reluctant to prescribe this type of drug because it can be highly addictive. The body builds up tolerance to the med, and the dose has to be increased over time to remain effective. Also, it does not mix well with alcohol or other drugs and can cause death.
If you are having pain w/your bowel movements, or feeling increased urgency, it would be best to check with your family doc, and if needed he will refer you to a Gastrointerologist.
Take care of you :)
