IBS?!

hello, first timer.  Let me tell you my symptoms.  I have been suffering from relatively the same issues for 10+ years, doctors have said it is most likely IBS, and going by research it would appear to be so...but! i can never seem to get relief from it for more than a few weeks at a time.  Periods of regular looking, feeling BM's, can be followed within minutes or hours with loose, watery, mucus filled (or just a small amount), pellet like, thin, flat or ribbon like stool or combination.  I have very little to no abdominal pain, sometimes a light or dull ache around the belly button area.  other symptoms include a bad taste in my mouth, and periods (can last a day, a couple days or an hour) of increased urination or the feeling like I need to constanly urinate.  Mucus can be clear, yellowish, milky white or cloudy.  i have a long history of anal fissures as well.  I have have countless tests, blood, urine, rectal exams, CT scans, stool tests, 2 fecal occult tests, a sigmoidoscopy, (ultra sounds and ab. x-rays as little as 2 months ago), tests never seem to turn up anything!  Really going out of my mind with this.

Thanks for the reply. I have been tested for CELIAC, that test came back negative. Unfortuanetly (strange to say unfortuanetly in this context) all the tests i have had, rectal exams, CT blood tests, urine tests, ultrasounds and xrays for the past 10 years always come back clean, should make me happy, but it dosent, some times I think it's a simple case of me being CRAZY!! All i drink is water, bottle after bottle, metamucil at least once a day, I try to eat high fibre this, high fibre that, and for the most part it works, however I always seem to fall into the same traps, junk food, no exercise, stressing out until I find myself sitting in the emergency room because I'm sure that I havecancer of the something or other!
