Been reading the forums for the last few days after discovering them when doing research for my now recently in the past colonoscopy. While I've always been plagued by unusual bowl habits (diarrhea mostly, really bad stomach cramps) since childhood (and told it was all in my head), since late Nov timeframe the symptoms have been almost constant. No weight loss, almost constant diarrhea, and I can 90% of the time determine if I'll be bathroom bound within 20 minutes of eating. Sometimes I get lucky, most of the time not, which had made any semblance of a normal lives almost impossible.
Things I know already due to testing:
1) no CT scan major causes for concern. Do have gall stones and a fatty liver
2) no evidence in blood-work of anything after a complete work up (Chrons, Celliacs, food allergies, imbalances, etc)
3) no evidence of anything in full stool study
I just had my first ever endoscopy and colonoscopy today (at the ripe old age of 36). From the endoscopy, the Dr indicates that I have an area of healing in my upper stomach that looks like I had an ulcer previously. One polyp removed, and some 40+ random biopsies to check for any microscopic changes.
I'm at wits end to try and figure out what is wrong and am almost to the point of requesting just getting the gall bladder out to see if that fixes anything. Just curious as to what could be causing my symptoms, very seldom is it constipation (but it does happen on rare occasions), but the stomach cramps and pain are the worst.
