Im hoping for a little assurance one way or the other as drs cant seem to pin it down.
I have INSANE stomach cramps that often leave me in so much pain, I can barely stand up straight or work. They often wake me up throughout the night and effects my life daily. My appetite has diminshed to nearly nothing, i get full off of a few bites and have no desire to really eat out of fear that it will flare up. I also get bad back cramps that can only be remedied by a heating pad.
I do get diarrhea but its mostly rabbit "poos".. and not always the case or that urgent. I havent particularly noticed that lactose seems to be a trigger, as that was something my dr wanted to eliminate as a possible cause. Ive tried to self diagnose and try different foods, and can only see a negative relationship with fast food/fried food and coffee/caffiene.
As i go through these forums and other websites, I see that there is no real solution or remedy to IBS. I guess my real question is: do my symptoms truly line up with IBS? If so, are there particular antibiotics/diets/best practices I can utilize to get the stomach cramps under control? Theres NO WAY I could live with this for the rest of my life. thanks everyone!
