I too have heard ginger root has anti inflamatory properties. I don't take a supplement, but I do buy ginger root and brew my own tea. It's easy. Just cut off a few thin slices of the root, simmer in water for 10 minutes, then strain the tea into your cup. Add a bit of honey to make it sweet if you desire. It does seem to "settle" my stomach for awhile.
