Hi all i am new here and really need some advice if possible! i had my daughter 6 months ago and since she was about 5/6weeks old after eating my evening meal i would have to rush to the toilet and my BM would usually be runny sometimes normal though and sometimes would leave horrible pain in my abdomen and burning my bum, after a wile this stopped happening after evening meal and is now happening after my lunch(sandwich) its appened pretty much every day since and only ever have to go the once and thats it! I usually have to go for a BM 2-4 times in the morning anyway but that used to be it for the day..until this started happening i am also breastfeeding! this has really affected me for the last couple of months its been hard, and i've stopped eating out and going out! I eat the same foods every day...have done since before i was pregnant...and as far as i can tell what i eat doesn't affect it. I also do not suffer from that much stress as i am a stay at home mum, i just cant figure out whats going on. I have no other pain anytime of the day either! Any advice would be greatly received thankyou very much

Oh just to add, i've lost nearly 4 stone since my daughter was born and have had blood and stool samples done which have ruled out coeliacs(sp?) and thyroid problems. I am going to see a specialist on the 11th june , i've started taking fybogel and probiotics the last couple of days and have just ordered some Acidophilus any good? the fybogel seems to of helped my mornming BM's as they used to be very thin and not well formed it seems to of bulked them up a little bit but still i have to rush to the toilet after eating :( oh and my keyboard is missing the H key :)

Sorry one more thing, i still get pain down there after sex too and sometimes my whole pelvic floor hurts after a BM and my perineum too, not sure if this is linked at all, i did wonder if i had a prolapse of the bowel, but doc checked me out and said tat i don't!

Hi fedup. I think your specialist may want to do a colonscopy or a flex sig to take a look see as to what may be going on. Especially since this is a daily occurence. Its good that your doing some probiotics and the fiber. Are you having any blood or mucous when you have a BM?

What's a flex Sig? No blood or mucous! And yes every day but just the once but I just "have" to go no pain what's ever before hand just pay afterwards. I've had 3episodes of bad diarrhea since my daughter was born a d when that's happened I've had a horrible feeling top of my tummy lime something's pushing done o my tummy and feel short of breath too. I also thinkin may suffer from hesrtburn/indigestion since being pregnant. ThAnks for taking the time to reply

A flex sig is a shorter version of a colonscopy. Sometimes it is just done in a GI's office. I've never had one so I don't know details. You could try some pepcid or prilosec and see if that helps the weird feeling your having. I would describe everything you have said here to you doctor when you go. Its good there is no blood or mucous. Pain afterward could be a hemmerroid. I for sure would get checked out. I started to get funky symptoms after the birth of my daughter and waited over a year to go to the doctor like a dummy. Why suffer if you don't have to? Good luck to you. Let us know what happens.
