I haven't been on this forum for awhile but I once again am having a problem...Last year in August, I had my gallbladder removed after Hida scan showed low function...I never got over the horrible nausea for almost 5 months...I lost 20 lbs. and was already skinny---then I was diagnosed with mild gastroparesis after a stomach emptying test as well as CTscan, small bowel study, endoscopy, colonoscopy, x-rays, ultrasound etc....all normal...My GI put me on protonix in the morning, zantac at night, Carafate, digestive enzymes and liquid erythromycin...I faithfully took all and in January was able to get off all meds and eat anything I wanted and had no nausea nor diarrhea for six months....and I gained back the 20 lbs. I lost...hooray
Then last Sunday, I woke up feeling queasy---Monday was worse and Tuesday and Wednesday I had diahrrea more than a few times and felt I couldn't eat...Today is 5 days and I still feel bad---almost like inflammation in my abdomen and nausea----
Someone told me about irritable bowel and I was wondering if I have that---In my early 20s, I had something similar but also had some ulcerations in my lower colon(not ulcerative colitis though)---
Does anyone get some nausea with irritable bowel? weight loss? The six past months were great---I felt healthy again and exercised about an hour and a half a day---it is depressing getting this again and I get scared it is something terrible....I also ordered something call IBEROGAST---has anyone heard of it and does it help?
