Hi people i was just wondering if any of you had IBS without C or D. I just been told i have IBS but I only have mucas in my stools and lower right abdominal pain's. I take tramadol for the pain because Buscupan and mebeverine don't do any anything for me. Any advive would be appreciated.

Did you have a complete work-up to exclude other possible causes of your pain? Pain significant enough to require tramadol is not something to "write off" as IBS unless you had a variety of tests, like a colonoscopy, a small bowel follow-through and perhaps a CT scan.

Hi Ides thanks for the reply yeah i had a colonoscopy which came back clear and a CT scan which also came back clear. But i have night sweats and weight loss but the GI just said IBS.

Hi Carl. I have the same symptoms (or lack there of) as you and was also diagnosed with IBS. Have you experienced any changes and are you still on the pain killers?

I'm really interested to know as mebeverine has done nothing for me, pain killers worked but messed up my stomach and I'm sceptical about my diagnosis because of lack of typical IBS symptoms.
