Hi I am a newbie here. I was diagnosed with IBS about
ten years ago because I was suffering horrible abdominal pain which had me doubled over. I had lots of test ran at that time, they did ultrasounds, colonoscopy, they checked my gal bladder and everything else and found nothing at the time. I was treated with medicine, I saw a nutritionist and began regular exercise and had it under control for the most part. Then I began having occasional pain, severe burning in my colon which would come and go. But this past year the flare ups have become a lot worse, syptoms began with constipation/ diarrhea and pain which became more severe with my monthly. The pain now gets so severe at times I have to do pregnancy breathing until it passes just to get through it. Well now in addition to the pains I have which vary in intensity I am unable to eat hardly anything for days, actually I think it has been weeks now, I have lost 30 lbs and I am averaging losing about
a pound a day. If I try to eat I feel full after a couple of bites of develop excruciating pain and or vomit. I don't know what to do. I thought maybe it was due to a poor diet having IBS but I can't seem to find anything I can eat, my body shows signs of burning its muscle for fuel, I have no energy at all and I am so frustrated I just want to cry. I don't have blood in my stool that I can see so I try to keep telling myself it is could not be serious. I don't want to rack up thousands of dollars in hospital bills for test to be run again, have them find nothing and want to do exploratory surgery. Does anyone else have the problem where they are unable to eat virtually anything?
