I'm new to the forum so thank you for supplying this info. I didn't see anywhere else to post this so I hope this is not the wrong section.
Yesterday I had a colonoscopy. It was my 3rd in the past 18 months. The first was around my 54th bday as normal procedure, my first ever. Numerous polyps were found, removed and biopsied. One was pre cancerous but everything else was fine. I had no post procedure problems.
The second was 3 months later as a folllow up to make sure things were fine regarding the one suspect polyp. They were. The dr recommended another one a year later (that was yesterday) and if all went well, another in 3 years.
Last night after the procedure when i got home I felt good. Tired and hungry but good. I had a bit of eggs and toast around 5:00 and felt fine. about an hour or so later, had a bowl of soup and a sandwich and soon thereafter became very bloated and my stomach ached.
I went to bed early and had a fitful night of mild-moderate abdominal pain. I woke up feeling better but I am still very bloated. My stomach is distended and I have some discomfort. I am getting ready to call the follow up nurse but was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this or if they've ever had a perforated colon which is my concern.
I am scheduled to fly out of town tomorrow but am wondering if I should cancel.
Thanks for any help.
