Irregular heartbeats with IBS flares?

I have IBS-D, and am in a flare..........tons of gas, bloating, a bit of nausea, more diarrhea than usual. And I'm having lots of irregular heartbeats. I'm used to having them intermittently (was tested and heart is okay), but its very disconcerting to have so many of them. I'm wondering if they are connected to my GI problems.
I'm taking extra magnesium, but it doesn't seem to help.........especially when taking too much gives me worse diarrhea!

I have extra heartbeats as well but I also have a mild MVP. I was born with it. However, I notice that when I have flare ups with my Ulcerative colitis, my heart beats or skips more than normal but I have not noticed it with my IBS. But yes, please be careful with the magnesium. Have you tried increasing your fluid intake? Sometimes dehydration from the D we get can make the heart either skip or increase beats.
