Amitiza - new to this forum

Hi CMCD. Sorry nobody has posted or responded yet. Your post hasn't gone unnoticed. :). I have UC and IBS in my special line up well. And they are both painful and both rough to maintain normalcy in life when not controlled. I haven't heard anything about Amitza, so i can't offer you anything. But maybe someone will come along with some answers for you. I do however understand being scared to try new medications. I have anxiety/ocd and HATE trying new drugs. But if you trust your Dr. and i hope you do, then the benefits im sure outway the risks. When i say im scared when they change or add a new drug....no matter what it is, i blow up the dr, nurse and pharmacist to see of any interactions, etc. And like they tell me everytime. "if your prescribing dr is aware of your conditions/allergies/other medications then i'm sure you will be fine to take it." If i may ask, what part of the new medications has you scared? And have you tried it yet? If so please post your thoughts on it, so maybe you could help someone else in the same boat. Again, i do hope you start feeling better and some relief!
