I've been having ibs like symptoms for a few months also bad reflux which I've never had before. Doc told me I had a spastic colon but beside bloodwork and xray I've had no other tests. I have no visible blood ever usually constipation.

The one thing I worry about is most my pain in in my right side inside my right hip. Some days I barely notice it today it hurts, I had a barium swallow and it upset my stomach. It's a deep pulling burning achy pain. I'm freaked out it's IbD or UC....

I am sorry for your pain. Sounds like you are getting medical advice, and that is good. They can help you figure out what is causing the pain. UC is diagnosed via colonoscopy,and a gateroenterologist doctor would be the diagnostician. Hopefully the CAT scan gave them insight. Keep us posted. Best wishes.

It is good you are investigating this with your physician. I have found that diet has an effect on how I feel. Has your doctor suggested any dietary changes for you to try?

Over years experimenting with an elimination diet, I have found some foods I cannot tolerate. One of the worst is gluten for me. Finding out if there are things you are eating contributing to your symptoms can be a good way for you to gain some control of the situation.

yeah im thinking could be gluten. Just have some anxiety at times but its actually gotten better/ thanks for the help.
