I get them all the time when my stomach is feeling off or after a meal when I get some reflux.
I believe there is a nerve near the stomach which when irritated causes the heart to skip a beat.
I have had numerous heart monitors for it which have caught it, but drs have always said it all looks normal and skipped beats are nothing abnormal. I don't think an endoscopy will be that helpful, it may show a hiatus hernia which can contribute to palpitations, but there isnt much that can be done about it besides surgery which is rather drastic.
It used to cause me a lot of anxiety but now I am so used to them it doesn't really bother me anymore. Hopefully you can get to the same stage.
One thing that really helped mine was taking ant-acids, because mine are so related to reflux. You could try that.
