Hi, this is my first time here I believe. I've mostly been on the IBD threads. But since I've been on LDN I've had bad episodes of IBS. Days (11 days max) of not going, then going normally the first few days, then have irregularity (diarrhea, loose stools).
I didn't get a lot of responses on the IBD threads, but I recently had an irregular BM yesterday after a 5-day toilet free stint, and wish to get some help. Started out with cramps, then it was pure liquid at the beginning, then it was normally formed and solid, with some liquid at the end. Now I've had a crampy BM starting out somewhat formed and now all mushy.
A family member recently found out she has a lung illness, I have (unrelated) eye surgery on the 26th, in two weeks, a bit stressed and have snacked on a few candies (but not a lot).
Never had liquid before a bm before, but I have had irregular bm's, like this, with constipation 'resetting' everything back together a few days later.
I thought I can differentiate IBD and IBS three years in this roller coaster. But no, I can't lol. Is this IBS or does this sound more like UC? Because right now I can deal with the former, not the latter.
Fiber is iffy with me. Psyllium husk makes me too hard, Psyllium seed makes me too soft. Benefiber doesn't really help with regularity, nor can I find it on the shelves anymore. I'm on the Paleo diet for LDN and my UC. I eat chicken, potatoes, cucumbers, grapes bananas, natural peanut butter. Not a lot in fiber.
Can I take Chia seed oil, given that seeds may bother me? Has anyone heard of good results regarding Chia seed oil? Or another form of fiber that may help?
I'm working on my stress. But I don't know what else I can do. I'm seeing my GI tomorrow, but he isn't interested in scoping me to see what is happening, because he wants nothing to do with me being on LDN. See my Catch-22?
Any help is appreciate. Thank you for your time.
