I was diagnosed with diverticulosis a couple of years ago. My question is can it cause chronic constipation?

No but constipation can lead to straining during bowel movements which can cause diverticula to form. Are you getting enough fiber and liquid in your diet?

I get occasional constipation from my diverticular disease.
