Hi, I have IBS with Severe Constipation and Bloating from Gas which I cannot pass... MY GI just prescribed a probiotic called VSL #3, and said it would help reduce the bloating and gas. Everything I have read says it is for IBS with Diarrhea!!! I have very sloe motility (peristalsis) and am afraid to take this... Anyone tried this? Your results? THANKS!!

Probiotics can help regulate your system by removing the bad bacteria and replacing it with beneficial bacteria. It won't necessarily constipated you. Have you ever tried an OTC anti-gas reliever such as Gas-X?

Hi, Yes, I have tried EVERY OTC gas remedy including Swedish Bitters, Beano, Gas-X... I really want to know if anyone with IBS-C or Slow Transit Constipation has ever taken VSL#3, as everything I read states it is for Diarrhea conditions!! Thanks
