Hi, I am 62 years old and have IBS since my 20's. I have had upper right quadrant burning pain for two months, maybe a bit longer. Pain started in my back URQ, then to front URQ. Had abdominal ultrasound, Ct Scan, blood tests, HIDA Scan as they were checking for gallbladder problems. Found nothing. I did have an endoscopy and colonscopy in September for another problem, they did find a small hiatel hernia in Sept.
Needless to say, I am suffering...I get the burning pain seconds after eating. At first it was only greasy, spicey, fried foods. Now it is everything. I have lost ten pounds. When I drink two glass of cold water immediately the burning stops but there is still a cold sensation for quite a while after. Also a glass of apple juice makes the burning go away. Much trial and errror and reading to find that bit of help. I tried Prilosec and Zantac with no healing, no relief. I am on Prevacid, but it still burns. I just ordered some Aloe Vera Juice to Lily of the Desert to see if that will help, also a prebiotic, can't take probiotics. I am careful what I eat. I eat small meals frequently through the day. I have histamine intolerance and have gluten sensitivity, not celiac disease.
Just wondering if anyone found relief or an answer to this kind of thing.
Thanks.
