I have UC and IBS and got soooo much better when I eliminated fiber of all kinds for a year.
Now I do eat some fiber but try and keep it to soluble fiber (not insoluble). The insoluble seems to irritate my gut.
I took Citrucel for a couple years to help and it did help but never the flavored kind (IBS hello), just the unflavored pill.
Other people like psyllium fiber which perhaps FiberCon is.
Give it a try with a low dose and see if it helps.
The weird thing about fiber is that it can help both C and D.
