Hi Ladies,
I supposedly have IBS-C (supposedly b/c we aren't totally sure what's going on yet), taking Linzess and quite a few different laxatives. I have lots of nerve damage to my bladder, bowel, and pelvic region in general. A year or two ago, I was dx with a prolapsed uterus. My question is this....can straining for a BM make the prolapse worse? I kinda hope so, b/c I've been having lots of pressure/pain in that area lately, and for whatever reason, in my head it would be better to have the problems related than to have 2 separate issues. (Yes, I'm weird.) That brings up one other question...is straining in general bad for you? Can't believe I've never really asked my doc that question, and the topic really hasn't come up. I can't imagine it can be ok for your body to do that frequently.
Any info, comments, suggestions, jokes, whatever, would be welcomed!
