For four .five weeks l have he upper left abdo strangling pain, dr thought it was pylori test cam back negative. I now have lost appetite, this last week l have lost 10lbs in weight, constant watery bowels, cannot eat, dr carried out blood work CBC, calcium liver kidney and esr all normal,apart fro.m esr which is 71 I was at dr thirsday and Friday gave me buscopan l am still not eating feel weak had to come home from work Friday and been in bed all weekend. Dr said stomach making lots of noises. My bowels are so offensive been in bed at 8pm sweaty and cannot get comfy with awful taste in mouth. This mornings had a massive bowel movement of loose watery stuff, they are so offensive. My gp said he is not sure what it is . L have anklyosing spondilitis also but it is more the upoer left adbompain that is strangling me. Can anyone shed any light on this

My stomach is making horrible noises, l feel sick but cannot be sick as I am not eating. The last two weeks have bee. The worst ever.

Sorry you are feeling so bad. I don't know a whole lot about what they can test for and stuff, but have they done a stool culture test? That can sometimes identify diseases or infections. Did anything significant happen when the problem started? Like change in diet or a medication change? I'm kinda thinking that since the problems have been going on for over a month with no signs of letting up, maybe it's time to ask for a referral to a GI specialist and/or for more tests, like a colonoscopy. I am far from an expert on IBS and related things, but that's where I would start if it were me.

Also, are you able to tolerate liquids? I'd be drinking lots of gatorade type stuff if I were you, you really need the hydration as well as the electrolytes. Does the doc know you aren't able to eat? Maybe they could recommend some specific foods to try, and then eat slowly and very small meals throughout the day. Wish I could be of more help. I'm sure others will post on here and may have good suggestions for you.

I met with gastro specialist on Tuesday, nhs waiting list too long so paying. He told me l could have ulcer which l thought no as no pylori, he is doing endocospy next Tuesday my bloods are now wonky raised esr 72 crp 22 low platelet drop. I am at a loss today hd four watery bowels movements on getting up, just feel so tired and deflated.

Remove all gluten, dairy and spicy foods from your diet. Have more scans of the gall bladder - notorious for specific pain when fatty foods consumed. But pain can mean many things - even when it is specific. It may be your immunity has gone haywire after years of doing nothing at all. Take a healthy probiotic (>10 billion count) mere yogurt will not do. BUt, the gut is very self healing - as long as you remove the irritants. No chocolate, alcohol or coffee as well. NIghtshades to avoid as they are irritants - tomatoes, potatoes (except sweet potatoes), bell peppers, paprika, red pepper, cayenne. For starters stick with brown rice, sea salt seasoned plain chicken, and lightly cooked vegetables. Other gut healers - coconut oil, watermelon, aloe vera juice (not with sugar added - sugar is a poison).
