Dealing wit IBS in college

I was diagnosed with IBS-D which has recently switched to IBS-C with occasional D attacks.

I work a desk job at a a state university at which I am also student. I am experiencing severe, almost crippling, lower abdominal cramps. I cannot leave my desk to lie down or use the bathroom. I have taken a Bentyl, however it does me no good. I feel severe pressure like pain (sharp cramps) that are only relieved by lying flat on my back with my knees bent. I am about to start my period and I haven't eaten since lunch today (it is now 9pm). I am also on an antibiotic for an ear infection.

Usually my symptoms are brought on by stress and anxiety. When I am alone I can usually get myself to feel better but being around people only makes things worse. As you can imagine, working at a desk where I am required to provide customer service makes it hard for me to avoid people.

I hate having IBS as a college student. I wish I could just eat or drink whatever I want :(
