Hi -

This is my first time here...and I have read many posts and other sites about my procedure. Mine is schedule for August 8th

My biggest concern is life afterwards - working full-time, is this even going to be possible? I have read so many posts about going to the bathroom frequently throughout the day. Although, I have an office job, how good am I going to be if am in the potty half the day...Worried sick..

Sorry to hear you are going thru so much. Forgive me for not knowing exactly what your surgery involves, but I have found this board, as well as the ostomies forum to be really helpful. Sometimes we don't really fit neatly into any one of the categories/forum topics, but you can always go on the ostomies one and check it out. Ask some questions. People are very willing to help each other here, whether it's offering advice, sharing their stories, or just being there to support you.

Tell us more about your situation if you are comfortable. What has lead you to needing this surgery?

I hope that you will post more and let people help you out.
