Hi Everyone,
My GI doc recently suggested that I increase my use of Zofran from "as needed" to automatically taking it twice daily for pretty bad nausea that I'm having. It's there pretty much all the time, but definitely worse after eating, does not matter what I eat.
Anyway, doc called this morning to say that I should hold off on taking extra Zofran because I am also taking Trazodone, 50mgs, to help with sleep. He said there is potential for a bad interaction between the 2 meds, which could cause prolonged QT syndrome (some kind of heart issue). Said I would need to talk with my primary care doc first to get clearance or figure out some other meds.
Anyone heard of this problem before??? Suggestions??
