Anyone had one for abdominal issues?
I just got done drinking the powder-is this going to keep me in the bathroom all night?
I'm getting a little test weary.

Hi Annie,
Good luck with your scan. I've had them a couple times for adbominal issues. I don't remember drinking powder though......just barrium, and also some lemon/lime stuff. I also had an IV for contrast. It's not a bad test, other than the drink! Good luck today!

Hey Annie, let us know how the scan went. Did you sit on the throne all night last night? I hope all went well....

Thanks for the well-wishes!
The powder I drank was a contrast thing, and man, it did NOT agree with me. Other than that, nothing too awful other than that darned IV.
No results yet, of course, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's nothing.
So now I've had an US, and a CT Scan....I'm reasonably certain the next is a colonoscopy. Oh, the fun lives we lead with digestion issues.

Hang in there, Annie, hopefully real soon you'll get the answers you're looking for. Keep us posted.
Digestion issues are no walk in the park... I truly feel for everyone with GI trouble. What I wouldn't give to scarf down a big barrel of french fries and chicken fingers.

The results were inconclusive as far as the problem, but clear and for that I am very glad. :)
So now I think it'll probably be a colonoscopy withe a gastroenterologist.
I just love this stuff.
Thanks for the well wishes!

You think the stuff you had to drink for contrast was bad. JUST WAIT until the colonoscopy prep.

I will agree that the prep is not pleasant however there are other options besides drinking liters or gallons of the laxative preps. My doc gave me the visicol pill rx and I will never go back to the phospho and golytly, etc. It may be worth asking your doc about
this. The pills are big and you have to take a lot of them but I had no nausea or cramping with them at all. It was great!
