I have multiple issues going on, Hashimotos being my biggest at the moment. But for years I have had IBS. I never payed much attention to it. Mostly IBS C but for some reason I get so constipated and then like lightening itll turn to IBS D for a couple hours, I guess my body at the end of its rope and cleaning itself out. I do have bowel movements everyday though. And sometimes I wont have symptoms for a week or two, then it comes back again for weeks and weeks.
I have been reading and have a doctors appointment coming up next week for my thyroid. Would it be ok to suggest to the doctor to try a round of Xifaxan? I have never had stool tests, it was diagnosed years ago by symptoms. I read a lot of good about Xifaxan but its usually for IBS D correct? Or am I on the wrong track. I am just so tired of bloating so easily, cramping on left side colon area, and having trapped gas daily which can really be painful. Thanks for any advice you may have.
