Since I have been having these gas attacks I have gotten up twice with #2. I got a scan, colonoscopy both showed nothing.

Gas pains are dreadful, I have IBS - C.

Could you please explain what "organic" cause means.

Having to move your bowels at night is sometimes a symptom of an inflammatory condition, but your colonoscopy was clear. I assume bloodwork also showed no evidence of inflammatory disease? Have you had a calprotectin test (stool test) also? That might be a next step.

Honestly, your report of having to get up twice to move your bowels probably wouldn't make a GI that concerned about inflammatory disease. I'm sorry you are having such painful gas.

I've got slow motility and I'm now taking 4 capsules of psyllium plus the occasional dose of miralax to keep things moving. Have you tried these ideas?

just gas x and probiotics, will try activated charcoal next. the gas pains are no fun.

Why not try and improve your motility by adding soluble fiber like psyllium or a stool softener like miralax?

I was taken zelnorm and Konstyle but when they took zelnorm off the market, i gave up with the that.

my situation has not changed except for these darn gas pains.

miralax or linzess both did not work. Was not even thinking about it until the gas pains.

yesterday was better and i was able to swim. thanks for your reply.
