Hey all,

im fairly new here and havent been able to keep up with the forum, we have been getting ready and had an estate sale. But i do have a question? Ive been on entocort ec  for several weeks, and my diarrhea has stopped. But i was wondering if this drug can change the color of your stools? Also, we smoked ribs and tenderloin yesterday, and ate the ribs last night,(which were awesome) but i think maybe smoked meat doesnt agree with me this morning, anyone else had this problem? I don't take Entocort, but my stools have changed color. At first I thought it was just the red kool-aid--which most of it was--but I still have a red-tint to my stools that I didn't use to have. It's only noticable when I flush and it breaks up. It's never dark and I don't see anything that looks like blood and I never wipe any blood, so I'm not worried about it being that, but I do wonder why it's reddish now? Unless the calcium pills have something to do with it. They are pink, lol.

Peppertree, do you have Crohn's?  Entocort is a corticosteroid (right?) and I was just wondering if you've been taking that for inflammation.  I have never heard of it being used as treatment for IBS.  It could be that the meat you ate simply isn't agreeing with you, especially if you're not used to eating it.  That's awesome that your diarrhea has stopped.  Maybe I should try this magical Entocort.  You mentioned it to me before, but I never asked my doc about it.  How long have you been taking it?
