Oh gosh, I'm sorry for all your frustration. Unfortunately, many docs don't treat us, IBS patients, with much care and effort. I don't know if they don't know how to help us, if they think it's all "in our head" or if this is the best they can do. It sucks really... I think we've all been there.
If the Pamine was really helping her D then maybe you could go back and ask for another RX. Ask why he did not prescribe it again. If he won't give it, ask what she is supposed to do.
Does she suffer from C as well? If not, you can always try giving her calcium to help control the D. Just a thought.
I'm sorry I can't help you with the acid reflux problem. I feel like I have it but my docs say I don't (I still take Prevacid though). I would suggest monitoring your daughter and making sure she takes the Prevacid. It is important because it helps mend the damage in the esophagus from the reflux.
Take care and best wishes to you both.
