Lactaid free milk and diarrea

I have been trying a fodmap diet and was told to stop drinking my skim milk and start drinking Lactaid milk.
I have been doing this but have noticed that no matter if I stay on my fodmap diet when I have my cereal in the morning with the Lactaid I have been having diarrhea. Is this common?

Some of the lactose free milk contains Carrageenan which can irritate a sensitive gut. Look for one that doesn't contain it. If the one you're using doesn't contain it, if it's allowed on this diet, you can try almond or soy milk.

I have been buying Organic Valley Lactose Free Skim Milk for awhile now. Lunnemann I am wondering if you should ask your doctor, but I think even lactose free milk has sugar in it, it is my understanding that sugar is a cause of inflammation?
