I have psoriatic arthritis and IBD; been on Remicade for about 5 years. This has controlled the PsA, but not the IBD which has gotten worse in the last year. My gastroenterologist suggested I try Peppermint oil, which I have - it helps mildly. Several weeksk later I added Slippery Elm, and that has helped much more. The ache in my lower left has gone away. It comes back, but it goes away when I take the slippery elm capsules. Also, my poops have been better than in the last year or so, and I haven't had a flare since I have been taking this.
I mention this in the hope that it helps someone else!
