Not sure if I'm in the right group but please direct me elsewhere if so.

Been having "come and go pains" in rights ride under rib age for about 4 months. I also get some scapular pain but not sure if the two are related. 3 days ago the "come and go pains" got constant and radiated to my back coupled with diarrhea and gurgling under the right rib area.
I'm afraid to eat, because yesterday's meals made it worse.

Does this sound like IBS?

Pain under the right rib cage sounds more like acid reflux. I used to get bad pain there as well.

I had the same deal and eventually had my gallbladder removed, because it was the only test that even hinted at something being out of whack.  I have had continual problems after this surgery 3 years ago, suspected issues with the bile duct not functioning right which can happen in people who no long have this. Have you had an endoscopy? Colonoscopy?  Both will be good tools in possibly finding something internal.  As would a CAT scan to see if everything is where it should be organ-wise.  I have certain foods that really cause me problems, but I am suspecting SIBO right now and am pushing my GI to test for this before I take more invasive measures.

Thank you for posting:) I had my gall bladder out in 2009 and wondered if it was s liver or bile duct issue. I had a ct scan a few months ago but was without contrast so it only showed up larger things I guess. It did show up that I had a small amount of air in my abdominal area and the surgeon told me that they thought I had a small perforated ulcer that had re sealed itself(caused by aspirin). So I sat things out for 2 months with antibiotics, nexium and a highly altered and easy on the stomache diet. i don't have to have the endoscopy at this time but surgeon said to call if I have any more issues and that she would take a peak inside me.
I did have an endoscopy about 3 years ago and the surgeon said I had NERD(tough form of GERD) gastritis a small sliding hernia and a few diverticula. I'm very thankful that you mentioned that bile ducts can get blocked after gal bladder removal. A persons mind can come up with ALL kinds of bad diagnosis they fear they have, which is what I did.
