Hi
I'm not having an increased frequency in stool but have noticed since about
mid January that I'm have quite a few episode of my BM's were the first half is normal (let's say a 3 or 4 on the Bristol scale) but then become much sloppier in the second half (about
a 6). So, I'm essentially have a stool of two halves.
It doesn't happen every BM but has been happening more frequently these past couple of months. My period also seems to make it worse but since my last period it has not really settled down. Sometimes I get cramping but others times not. It's also coming out faster like. Like someone has pressed FWD on my colon.
I've always had some IBS since age 15 (I'm now coming up to 40). Used to have a very sluggish colon as well as spasmodic colon. But not to any debilitating degree.
Oh, I've also noticed lately that my stools are floating.
I can't seem to find any info online about
these half/half stools. At least not for humans. Every time I've searched for it, the results have thrown up forums for German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Great Danes, and appropriately enough, Shih tzus!! Out of sheer curiosity, I've clicked on just to see what the dog-owners are describing and it describes my poop to a tee. So, I'm having canine craps by the sounds of it
I'm assuming it's due to the latter part of the stool not having enough water reabsorbed before exiting, but I don't know what's causing.
Does anyone else get this? I'm not meaning multiples BM's per day but when you are just going your normal amount?
