Is it IBS?

I'm dying to find someone else who has the same symptoms. I have an appointment with a GI specialist soon but until then maybe I can find out what helps for others.

So I have stomach issues weekly. Morning is the prime time. When I have to go, I have to GO. Like pull the car over and find a public restroom. It is really taking it's toll on my life as a mother of 2 boys. Usually I got 6-8 times in the morning because it takes a while for that sense of urgency to subside. The first 2 bowel movements are usually a decent amount but all the others I'm cleaned out I just feel like I have to go, there's unbelievable pressure and cramping. I won't have issues that rest of the day after the morning. It's scary and weird. I also suffer from hemmroids from so much straining and toilet time. Anyone else have these symptoms???

Hi & welcome to the forum. Sorry to read about what you are dealing with. Not sure if this is IBS or not, that is up to what the gi dr has to say. Some people have diarrhea & cramping among other symptoms. By chance did your PCP order a stool test on you? If not, I would call today & ask the nurse to speak to the dr about ordering one & they should have the kit at their office. Any time diarrhea like this happens a stool test should be done to rule out infections, parasites & other pathogens. Keep an eye on your diet & stay away from anything that can aggravate things. Did the dr suggest taking anything OTC to help slow things down? I would push for the stool test for now.
