Hi,    Besides feeling like crap everday from ibs now I have shingles..   Has anyone ever had that??   I am in so much pain!!   Can't take pain meds because of my stomach...  I have it on my neck and arm and it feels like tiny needles and it is on fire...  Thanks for any input..

Oh no Ryleigh!! I'm so sorry to hear about that. No I haven't had had shingles but I know that it is a horrible condition. Are you on any antiviral medications? Try not to touch your eyes and other sensitive areas. Get plenty of rest and take care of yourself.

If I remember correctly, shingles are adult chickenpox (you get it even though you've had the chickenpox before). I think, though, it usually only happens in elderly people, but people with a weak immune system are probably also more likely to get it.

That souds about right Keri. I think you can only get it if you have had chickenpox previously. There is a dormant virus in your system after chickenpox that can be reactivated (if you will) when your immune system is suppressed that causes the shingles.

oh no, a friend of mine had that in college... it hurt her so much, and she was always tired.
