Hi fellow sufferers,
I have been fighting with IBS for years now, and now only recently am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. A major difficulty in this whole ordeal was even beginning to understand the complex facets that make up IBS, not to mention implementing the changes in my personal life. Being a scientist, I also found that one of the biggest barriers to getting better was the overwhelming amount of low quality or simply inaccurate information out there on what actually is effective and why. The good news is that there are things out there that really are effective and not that difficult to implement, and they synergize across different facets, but finding these pearls in the mud is really challenging.
One of the recent discoveries that came out from a nearby lab is the finding that there is a direct mechanistic link between sleep loss and IBS, which together build up a vicious circle. Based on this and our own experiences, we have put together a team of scientists and entrepreneurs to help people get rid of IBS for good, by attacking this vicious cycle as well as all the other foundational causes of IBS in an integrated manner. This requires education, some simple but effective behavioral changes, individualized feedback and specific dietary support, which we plan to offer as a subscript
ion service in an integrated whole.
What we do not know is whether people would be interested in this and be willing to put in any behavioral effort to improve. So this is where we need your input on the two questions below. Will you please share your thoughts regardless of your interest or present state in the IBS journey? This is critical to help us decide whether this is worth taking forward.
