Yep, everything you describe sounds like a gall bladder attack. I have been there many a night, sitting on the toliet, holding a trash can, praying that something would hurry up and come out of one end or the other because the pain and nausea and just indescribable "sick" feeling would build and build become unbearable. Finally, when I did have a bowel movement or two, the pain and nausea would start to back off some after about 5 or 10 minutes and I would eventually be able to get up and get back in bed, although I was still to sick to my stomach to lay down. I learned to sleep sitting propped up. And see, sometimes I would get sick before I had even finished eating my meal, sometimes 30 minutes to an hour afterwards and sometimes I would just wake up sick in the middle of the night.
You really need a hida scan. If you get bad sick like that again, have your mother take you to the emergency room and have them check you for a gall bladder attack. Remember, an ultrasound isn't enough, since you may not have stones and that's all it will show. I didn't have stones, just a dysfunctional gall bladder; make sure they give you a hida scan. If you have one when you're sick like that, and it is your gall bladder that's causing the problem, it will show up. I know from experience, though, if you have it done while you are not sick, it may very well show up as being normal when it's really not.
