Another Reason to Avoid Sugar-Free Foods

I heard on the radio this morning that the sugar alcohol xylitol can cause liver damage and death in dogs, so never, ever give them sugar free candy (and what can kill a dog, who can eat some of the most rancid of roadkills, isn't something I readily trust).
