I have IBS, GERD. amongst a big list of medical problems.
Has anyone ever had CT Colonography (colonoscopy).
I have been told that I am too high a risk for
having a regular Colonoscopy.
I know they blow air into your bowels, the Do a CT Scan.
Is it more accurate than a regular Colonoscopy
I was diagnosed with diverticulosis in the mid 90's
Now in July a Barium enema was done, it says I have no diverticuli now.
However, I do! have a 3 cm narrowing of my sigmoid colon.
At that time they suggested an MRI which I cannot have because it would kill me...(I have a dual Chamber Pacemaker in my chest)
Now this fall I had an episode of nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. They did a CT scan...they said no masses or growths.
I was treated as diverticulitis with CIPRO AND FLAGYL....only to have it make me feel even more sick. So back to the ER and Iwas told to discontinue that.
I still have bad boughts of IBS...+++EPISODES OF PAIN
AND exploding diarrhea...and constipation.
If this is negative...any suggestions for getting this IBS under control?
