hi everyone

i have had a few days of having no pain well about five days where it has been very mild or not there. and now today it has come back. now started to take painkillers aiagn as i stopped when the pain eased. i have been looking in the internet for solotions to my problems. i am so sore inside and still bleeding all the time. i was looking up to see what i could use to ease the itcheyness and soreness. i have been given stuff for piles which i don't have. i saw a clinic for colon hyrdothearpy and wondered what everyone thought of this. i am willing to try anything to get rid of it and have even concidered not eatting as if i don't eat then i can't suffer if it is as doctor says ibs.

Is there no one else you can see that will order a colonoscopy for you? That and/or a camera pill is what you need to find out where you are bleeding so you can get it stopped.

I would NOT do the colon hydrotherapy. Those sorts of things--if they even do anything at all--are for people with healthy colons. Because of your bleeding, we know that something is very wrong with yours. You can make yourself a whole lot worse by doing procedures that shouldn't be done on an unhealthy person. You need tests to find out what's wrong with you before you do any treating.

Have you been over to the UC or Crohn's boards to talk to them? They can tell you the symptoms of IBD (which sounds more like what you have) better than a lot of us here can, and maybe there's another UK person on there that can recommend a doctor that will take you seriously.

And yes, you do still need to eat. Eating is necessary for everyone, but especially for someone experiencing blood loss. I would think that red meat is something you need to be eating for the iron. At the very least, try meal replacement drinks like Ensure, Slim Fast or Carnation Instant breakfast. The first two come in soy if you can't do milk, and you can always mix Carnation with soy milk, almond milk or anything else, for that matter. That way you'll at least be getting some of your daily vitamin requirements.

I agree with Keriamon. I have crohn's disease and IBS. The bleeding is not IBS and could be IBD. You really should see a gastroenterologist and have a colonoscopy or pill camera to see what is going on. I would not do the colon hydrotherapy as it most likely would further irritate your bowels. I hope you are feeling better soon and keep eating.

I would be terrified to mess with something like that when I had bleeding. I think that could be really dangerous.

hi thanks for your relpys. i guess i am just fed up and willing to try anything. i have decided to speak to doctor to see what esle i can do. i am still in pain and yesturday it was particularly bad. i am just so sore all the time when i don't have the sharp pains. i am still waking up at night in pain then i can't get back to sleep.

I have lost track but have you had a colonoscopy, camera swallow and all those things. If you are bleeding there is more than IBS going on as you now know. I don't know about the soreness but it could have something to do with inflammed nerve endings so maybe something to calm them like Neurontin might help but you really need to get to the proper Dr. and soon. I certainly would stay away from foods that can irritate like salads, fruit with skins, uncooked veggies, etc. because something is causing this irritation. The itchyness and soreness must be different than pain.
