HELP! Scared!

Hey people, i dont know what is wrong with me, but for the past 2 - 3 days, i've been passing "oil" through my stools? Like when i look in the toilet, there is oil drops floating around, just asif i've poured a little bit of cooking oil in there!! But it's not a lot, and its only happened 2 - 3 times in the past 2 - 3 days.. It also shows when i wipe, a little bit of oil goes on the tissue! Im soooooo worried! What can this be? I hope nothing too bad!??? :(

Welcome to HealingWell!

I really wouldn't worry too much about the "oil" you are passing unless it is happening a lot (longer than 3-5 days). Sometimes our body has a difficult time digesting fat. Are you seeing the oil with every BM, or just randomly? Are you in pain? Do you bleed? Again, if this keeps up you check with your doc. A cause for "oily" BM's is malabsorbtion. Your doc should be able to check your fat absorbtion by doing a stool test (fecal fat test). Or, another reason could be chronic pancreatis (CP). CP can be diagnosed via a blood test.
For now maybe you could stay away from fatty foods and see what happens... ?

Hey 7Lil thank you so much for replying.. you've made me come back to earth and decreased my worrying by 95% LOL I dont go through pain when i go to the toilet, and i dont bleed. The oil has appeared possibly 3 times max. in the past few days. Never happened before that... I'll stay away from fatty food for the next few days, and go to the doctor on wednesday for a blood test. I hope this isnt as serious as i initially thought! But thank you so much for your reply!
