ibs and imumne system low iron due to bleeding? still havent done anythink.

i jsut wanted to know if any one has come across this.

today i have just found out thta i have something wrong wiht my imumne system i also found out thta i my iron levels are low. i thnik this is because of the bleeding from the back passage. i have to see a doctor to have more blood tests to be montiored to make sure thye dont get any worse.

just wondering if any one has come acros this before wiht there ibs ? not sure i have ibs have had a diagnoses but wating to see a nother speacilist for another a oppoinon as pain is so bad.

So sorry to hear you are still struggling with your docs and a diagnosis. I'm sure you remember us saying this before... There is no bleeding with IBS. If you are bleeding at all, especially enough to cause iron deficiency, there is definitely something else going on. Your docs must see this as a red flag and stop thinking you have mental issues.
What type of specialist are you going to see next? You've already seen the GI, correct?

cheers 7lil thank you so much for your surport. i going to see another gi in diferent hopsital. i aslo have to see a gp our local genral practiioner. we hvae to go to thme first before we get reffered. hopfuly thye finaly do sometihng for me now. my councilor has agred thta i need some help to get though all this so hopfuly thye will help me now. gonna see gp on monday about the blood test results to se whta she says.

Don't let them docs brush you off with "just IBS." Make sure you point out to them that you're bleeding. Insist they check it out. Even if all you have are hemmies, they should still be taking it seriously.
