Appt. with surgeon next week

Hi, hope everyone is feeling ok today! I have been ill since Sept. I have seen 2 gastro drs. , colonoscopy, endoscopy, CAT scan, blood work, etc. All tests are coming back normal, dr. is leaning toward IBS diagnosis. My main symptom is pain. I constantly feel as if I've been 'kicked' in the gut. The pain wakes me up at night, noisy, throbbing, searing pain. I have an appt. with a surgeon(1st consult.) to plan a laproscopic biopsy of small intestine. Does anyone else have this horrific type of gut pain? It is so bad I have stopped working, etc., etc. I've tried every diet, drug for IBS, nothing. Any advice would be appreciated!

I too am unfamiliar with a laproscopic biopsy of the small intestine. I had no idea they did that sort of thing. Did your scope show any inflammation? Did your doc take biopsies then?
I'm sure many of us are curious about this procedure, please keep us posted.
