Hi
I just had a colonscopy for an upset digestive system since 7 months, and they found I had a twisted colon. More tests will now follow. While trying to research this on the web, I came across 'friendlygals' post about having a lump in the throat. This may not be related at all but I thought I should post my own experience, as it may save others a lot of discomfort... I always had an uncomfortable lump in my throat as a kid. It wasn't bad enough to go to the doctor, but was very annoying. My sister is was studying to become an alternative health practitioner, and suggested that maybe it was a reaction I was having to dairy products, as in some people, dairy products are mucous-inducing. I cut out the dairy, and voila, the lump went away. I can eat small amounts of dairy, but as soon as I eat too much, the lump returns. I believe also that dairy intolerance can lead to bowel upsets, which may be (mis?) diagnosed as IBS.
If you have any info on my condition I'd be grateful! The doctor at first suggested I might have IBS but now seems more concerned about this twist. I'm wondering how my colon became twisted!! And what the cure might involve...
thanks.
I thought I'd start a new thread/post with your original post so it doesn't get lost in the other one.
There are others here who have a redundant / twisted colon that should be here shortly. I wanted to welcome you to Healing Well
