citramag not working (yet!!)

Thanks Sarita for your kind wishes. It is 5pm Tues here in Britain and I took my first sachet of Citramag in warm water at 2pm and so far nothing has emerged!!! Second and final sachet to be taken in about an hour so hopefully that will start to send things through.

What are other people's experiences of the bowel prep? I have eaten very lightly this last couple of days (liquid only today) so maybe there is not much to come.

Will keep in touch but would appreciate input on whether it is usual for the prep to take 4 hours to start working.

It's always taken me about an hour for the flood to commence, but I have extremely rapid GI transit so that may play a role. It'll probably start coming soon enough (or that second sachet will really get you going). Let us know how you're "progressing!"

I have not used the Citramag only Fleets phospha soda but I take forever for anything to work. I must have a really slow system as it has taken me at least 4 hours to start and then some. Whether there is much to come or not you will know when it starts. It just should not take as long to get to clear liquid which is what you want.

Thanks. Started at 10.30pm and went throughout night (yawn!) However, I have to leave for the hospital (45 mins drive away) in half an hour and am still producing light brown liquid. Am going to phone unit now to see if the procedure can still be done - I shall be really sick if it can't after all this!!
