Hello everyone-
I am somewhat new to Healingwell. I have had the symptoms of IBS for years now (a greasy or rich meal sends me running to the bathroom since i was a teenager and I am in my mid twenties now) but have never had it diagnosed by a doctor. I suffer from anxiety and have a tendency to worry excessively about my health. For the past few years i have expiriend thinner bowel movements. However, I notice that certain foods (rice and pasta) seem to increase the size. I have decided to try eating more soluble fiber and so far it seems to be making a difference. My question is that if this is helping increase the size, do I need to be concerned about colon cancer? I feel like the stool would stay the same if there was a blockage no matter what I ate. Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. I have no history of colon cancer in my family and had a stool blood test 4 months ago that came back negative. My blood work is normal (just had it checked last week)
Thanks!
