My mum is 56 year old and has esld.I am getting information about
esld from the heptatis column however i would like to know about
water retention. My mum also has a heart condition. She has been retaining alot of water for the past few days. She is on spiractin and furesomide tabs daily. She takes 1 and half of spractin once a day and 2 furesomide 2 times a day.She is going to the toilet quite often but the swelling is not going down.If anybody knows can you tell me why?

try eliminating sodium as much from her diet. you cant cut it out completely but she needs to watch her sodium, under 2000 grm sodium and eliminate red meat from her diet to as her liver wont be able to handle it
