no urination

 mum has been very swollen from her tummy to her toes.she has been taking her water tabs but she has not been to the toilet for the past 9 hours. what must i do now.should i take her to the er

You deffinatly need to call her doctor or take her to the ER, where ever you think she will be seen the quickest. (sometimes my doc can see me quicker than waiting in the ER) I am one of the rare people that a water pill actually clogs me up more! But she does need to be seen ASAP! Please don't wait any longer!!!!!!!

Please let us know what happens, I will be praying for her!!

Sorry guys for not updating. Well mum was admitted on 23/09/2010.they put in a catheter to remove the urine.took out the catheter on 25/09/2010.going to the toilet however they are giving her injections to go to the toilet.My only concern now is her legs are tummy and legs are still very swollen and the other thing if she is discharged i hope the water tablets will work.

Hi there Amy.Dont know how she became blocked but she was in and out of hospital.Swelling has gone down a bit as she taking her water tabs.She was not looking good these past few days i thought i was going to lose her but she fought and asof yesterday she seems to be her old self again.Her sleep patterns have changed drastically.She has not slept for the past 2 days. I am so delighted that she feeling and looking so much better
