If there is anyone who may have an idea. Stupidly I have left this for a few weeks. I have had a pain in my left side only mild and I have just noticed frothy urine. Not a great deal but it's there bubbles etc. I'm such a terrible coward and suffer from depression! I have googled everything and it says kidney disease etc. if you've any advice please leave an answer thank you so much.

go to the doctor now. if there is a kidney problem, waiting will surely make it worse.

just curious why the title of the thread is protein in the urine and you say nothing about it. did you leave out part of the puzzle?

Sorry if this is late but I have been out of town. Yes I agree with great. Seek a doctor immediately. You do have a problem with your kidneys. I had the same problem a while back and it was similar yet painful at times to urinate. High protein. If it smells its even worse. Please post if you read this and update us when possible.

There anything we can do to get the protein out of our urine??

Ballue, it depends on your type of kidney disease and what medications you take. I have minimal change disease, which is rare in adults and uncommon for it to not go away. I will probably always have proteins in my urine.

I have had the least amount when I am on Diovan 160mg 2x day and lisinopril 20mg 1 x day and remicade for my colitis (which I think helps) also my Nephrologist has me on a low sodium diet of no more than 1500mg a day. Some days I am better than others but I am consicous of what I eat so a bit of low sodium soy sauce on sushi a couple times a year is a splurge for me.

Prednisone seems to help some people but not me. What does your nephrologist say?
