I had partial back in June, 2016, right side, robotic assisted and laparoscopic. I did not have the pain you're talking about. However, I have had other surgeries before (abdominal and, as such, involving a much larger incision) and I had the kind of pain you're talking about, just not for quite a long. In my case, the pain was like a stomach gas pain. It was caused by the gas thy pump into your incision to, for lack of a better word, inflate the space they're gong to work in, thereby making it easier for the surgeon to operate. The best way to get rid of that pain is to walk, walk, walk and then, when you get tired, rest and walk some more. The walking helps the remaining gas get forced out.
